College has been a crazy experience for me in both positive and negative ways. It gave me shivers that I didn’t know anybody coming here. I had a very large group of friends my whole life. It almost felt as if I had forgotten how to make friends. I decided that no matter what, I was just going to be myself, and it turned out to be the best decision for me. I ended up meeting a great group of friends that I believe will be a solid group with me. I have been able to be a part of things because of my friends pushing me to try different things. As of right now, I believe that meeting a good group of friends is the most important part of college. They have kept my mind positive and away from thinking about my family friends. I also believe these people push me to be the best version of myself, that I can be. It’s all thanks to them that I am proud to be a Geneseo Knight.
The second most important thing is how almost all my professors have been super welcoming and eased my pain about how stressful college can be. These professors have assured me that as long as I give my best effort, that they will be there for me and help me push to ensure a good grade in their class. Overall, college has been an awesome experience that will open my eyes to new ideas and allow me to grow as a person. I believe this INTD course will be one of my favorites because it will allow me to express my ideas through writing. I am not a strong public speaker because I will get nervous. This class allows me to focus on writing my feelings instead of having to express them. I believe that this semester will go by fast, but I will enjoy every minute of it.
I think this class will also allow me to grow as an individual. I will learn to enhance my writing capabilities while learning about PTSD of war veterans. This is important to me because my grandfather has PTSD from the struggles of war. I can’t wait to see how this class develops, and I’m looking forward to it.
